Course Description

Dialogue is the single most effective pathway by which we come to understand your characters, their inner turbulence, and the more crafted personas with which they navigate the world. Their dialogue is specific to them, their psychology, their origins and backstory, and all the milieus they inhabit socially, economically, professionally, and historically. In this workshop, we’ll dive deep into techniques for establishing larger-than-life characters and writing dialogue that creates change—in your scenes, your story arc, and ultimately in your characters themselves. Participants should come prepared to read, critique, and support each other’s work.
