Course Description

This course will examine foundational texts that undergird the institutions of democracy and capitalism in the modern world. The American Revolution and New Nation were shaped by the works of Newton, Swift, Hume, Smith, Rousseau, Wollstonecraft, Paine, Voltaire, and others.
