Course Description

Work is critical for people and society. It provides income, purpose, identity, community, and growth. But a combination of demographic shifts (flattening to declining populations and aging populations), technological shifts (the Internet), societal pressures (housing costs, child care) and Covid-19 (remote hybrid or better described as distributed and unbundled world) is leading to the most seismic shifts in why people work, who they work for, where they work and how they work. We are likely to see more fractionalized employees (working half or two thirds of their time), people working multiple jobs with a quarter of "full-time" employees doing a second job. This seminar will be a catalyst to better understanding and engaging the emerging workplace.
