Course Description

One of the most fertile regions in antiquity, the Nile Valley provided bountiful subsistence in grains, flora, and fauna for thousands of years as a foundation of one of the world’s earliest civilizations. We will be discussing the domestication of animals and plants, how they were raised, prepared, and utilized in both domestic and ritual contexts.
