Course Description

Keyboard music comprises the single largest repertory of instrumental music in Western culture. This course carefully curates this vast literature by era, national schools and styles, including pillars of the repertory (i.e. Beethoven, Chopin), and also deserving lesser known composers, such as Frescobaldi, Couperin, Balakirev and Chabrier. The course concludes with the best of the newest composers. There will be live performances, videos and cds chronicling the history of this always amazing genre.
