Course Description

More than any other classical or romantic composer, Mozart created a universal style, combining the finest elements of Italian as well as Central and Western European music in a sublime and intensely personal style. Mastering all of the genres of his time, including concerto, opera, sacred, and chamber music, Mozart gave the world over six hundred memorable works. And he had a fascinating life. Using historical and critical documents, DVDs, CDs, and live demonstration, this class explores the unique range of Mozart’s genius.
