Course Description

Project schedule slippage and cost overrun are ubiquitous. They often lead to project failure. Research over the last three decades has consistently shown that at least one third of projects, regardless of the industry, do not complete on time or under budget. The major reasons are underestimation of schedule, budget, and resources and poor management of project performance. The focus of this course is on how to develop more realistic project estimates and utilize more effective project performance management methods. It offers proven tools and techniques for estimation of project schedule, budget, and resources as well as risk reserves. It also presents a universally applicable method for measuring current project schedule and cost performance as well as forecasting future needs. When the lessons from this course are properly applied, your project success rate is guaranteed to soar. The course format consists of focused mini-lectures and hands-on activities. The participants will be divided into small teams, which will be engaged in interactive discussions and practical case study exercises.
