Course Description

This course provides an overview of topics in behavioral economics. It focuses on using the concepts studied to both understand and improve financial (and other) decisions. Areas covered include: thought systems, learning, biases, overconfidence, choices, and practical applications in finance and business.

Course Objectives

  • Improve the understanding of thinking and decision making processes.
  • Obtain an appreciation of ways in which behavioral economics can help analyze human actions and be usefully applied to practical applications.
  • Investigate techniques to improve the quality of decisions.
