Course Description

The New Kingdom of ancient Egypt dominated the eastern Mediterranean world for over six hundred years, characterized by monumental cultural achievements in military conquests, economic ties, artistic achievements, religious zealotry, and palace intrigues, and possibly the Exodus. This "Age of Empire" was at the center of an interconnected cultural web of ancient superpowers, which was to come rapidly to an end at the onset of ecological and economic disaster known as the Bronze Age collapse.
