Course Description

For centuries after the 12th century BCE Egypt remained significant in Near Eastern struggles for military and cultural dominance. Despite internal political division, economic disparity, and a series of foreign invasions by Nubia, Assyria, and Persia, Egyptian culture was preserved by the temples and priests, who wielded significant influence over the populace until the 5th century CE.
