Course Description

While this course is a continuation of the reading of Genesis last year, any and all are welcome to join this close reading of the second book of the Torah (Pentateuch), The Book of Exodus. This book tells the foundation story for Ancient Israel, a story of bondage, liberation, and covenant relationship between a people and a god, whom they assert is God alone. The leading character in this story is Moses whose life and leadership are heroic. Moreover, this story has become a paradigm of hope for many beyond Ancient Israel.
