Course Description

As a nonprofit marketer, you probably have a to-do list a mile long every day. So where to begin? This workshop is designed to help mid-level nonprofit marketing professionals tap into resources they may not realize they have, both internally and externally, in order to achieve existing goals and grow awareness of their organization.

Attendees will learn techniques for engaging with colleagues and "managing up" to organizational leadership in order to get the content they need to tell compelling stories and create engaging content.  They'll spend time in small groups to share best practices, as well as failures.

Today's nonprofit sector marketing professionals face increased demand for sophisticated, multi-channel messaging in an ever-more crowded and competitive environment. Owing to limited human and capital resources at most nonprofits, these professionals often don't have the support or network they need to improve the efficacy of their marketing, and experiment with news ways of sharing their organization's mission. This 1-day seminar aims to address that deficit by creating an interactive experience that fosters an open exchange of ideas and collaboration.

Notes

New 1-day seminar format that counts towards the completion of the Marketing certificate: half of the credit hours of an elective.
